College Football Assistance Fund is Named the Beneficiary of the Pebble Beach Coaches Classic

April 19, 2011 (Pebble Beach, California) – It was announced today that the College Football Assistance Fund (CFAF) will be the beneficiary of the Pebble Beach Coaches Classic for the next three years.

For 21 years, the Pebble Beach Coaches Classic has brought together college football coaches for a weekend of golf, fellowship, and to help raise funds for charity. The 2011 tournament will be held at the Pebble Beach Resorts from May 29 – June 2. CFAF Advisory Committee members Dick Tomey and June Jones will both be participating in this year’s tournament.

“We appreciate the Pebble Beach Coaches Classic supporting our efforts to help seriously injured college football athletes and their families. The funds received from this golf tournament will go a long way towards assisting those who have suffered life-changing injuries,” said Coach Jones.

About CFAF
CFAF is a non-profit organization dedicated to support those who have sustained serious injuries through college football. Assistance is provided to ease the burden of medical costs associated with injuries such as joint replacement, spine treatment, neurological care and other related expenses.

The CFAF was established in 2010 by a group of collegiate coaches and athletic administrators concerned about the limited resources available to injured football players.
